WARNING: if you have a more intricate configuration explicitly using these reserved ports system, check your configuration and modify the commands to your need (if you use this sort of configuration i don't think you need this post anyway.1. TLDR: is Hyper-V fault, it reserves ports used by Bluestacks, run the first 2 commands and restart to fix If you want to read more on the argument you can check This will scramble the ports reserved and if you'r lucky the ones used by Bluestacks will be free to use (this explains why a lot of users could make Bluestacks work after restarting multiple times, forcing the winnat service to restart with a machine restart) Netsh int ipv6 set dynamic tcp start=49152 num=16384Ī restart is required for the changes to take effect.Īnother fix (albeit temporarily) is using the command Netsh int ipv4 set dynamic tcp start=49152 num=16384 I completely solved this problem changing this behavior with the commands (found in the threads linked at the end) When Bluestacks (and a lot of other applications) try to bind to those ports they usually end up crashing throwing an Exception like "Bind Exception: Address already in use". The problem lies in the fact that Microsoft changed the range of ports Hyper-V reserves. I'd like to add that trying to fix this issue (the steps suggested on this guide didn't help in my case unfortunately) i stumbled across what seems to be a problem affecting a lot of applications on Win10 machines with Hyper-V and WSL/WSL2 enabled. That means if you are trying to create 20 instances, you'll need to set up 4 of them manually.Īnyway, hope these help! If you have any other tips or tricks to get around these silly networking or cloning issues, please share them! Instead, I try to create a new Fresh Instance, set it up manually, then clone that no more than 5 times. You can try cloning one of the original cloned instances, but YMMV. Did you clone an instance 5 times? Did you then try to clone it another 5 times? Don't do that :) After you've cloned an instance 5 times, any further clones will conflict with the original. If you clone instances too much, you may notice that some instances can't run at the same time as others, but can run when their counterpart is stopped.
