![]() Harry was bonded to the symbiote and as he looks out over the night-time city, Venom is heard repeating Harry’s ‘We’re going to heal the world’ line. The most pressing question about the game’s story is whether Harry will turn into Venom, who is seen at the end of the trailer attacking what seems to be one of Kraven’s copters.Īt the moment, all signs point to yes. Whether his plans also involve the symbiote is another question entirely. One shot sees Peter and Norman talking while the symbiote floats behind him, but it’s not clear whether Harry already knew about it or if this is during a scene where he learns of its existence.Īt the very least, his friendship with Peter looks to play an important part, as he talks about wanting to ‘heal the world,’ something he needs Peter’s help with. Then again, it’s not entirely clear how much he knows about his cure and it’s possible Norman has kept him in the dark regarding the symbiote’s involvement. While we very much doubt he’ll come clean about everything to Peter, his ‘It’s a miracle I’m even sitting here’ line and talk of a ‘second chance’ suggests he’ll at least admit to Peter he was ill and has been successfully cured. However, the post-credits scene revealed he was extremely ill, and his dad is using what’s blatantly the Venom symbiote to keep him alive. In the 2018 original, Harry was otherwise absent and believed to be overseas. Right off the gate, the trailer reveals that Harry Osborn, son of Norman Osborn and Peter’s best friend, will be playing a bigger role in the game. “In my opinion, solving problems on cell division should be teamwork with experts from various fields,” he said.įor the full story visit UH Hilo Stories.Spider-Man 2 – Harry looks pretty good for someone who’s been marinating in alien goo for months (Picture: Sony) Tao believes the success of this mission depends on collaboration among peers. Tao’s ultimate goal is to have a greater understanding of how mitotic motors regulate cell division, which will help find an effective way to cure cancer. “Understanding the mechanism of cell division and its control has thus become a key to find cures for cancer.” ![]() “Abnormal cell division causes cancer,” he explained. Tao says his research into the mechanisms of cell division will provide clues for cancer treatment. The recently published findings from Tao’s lab highlight that centralspindlin, a motor complex implicated in cell division, plays a pivotal role in dictating cytokinesis (cell division) by transporting essential components required to initiate this process. Tao is a biochemist and cell biologist with expertise in using a combination of in vitro biochemistry and in vivo cell biology to understand the regulation of cell division, providing insights into the fundamental mechanism to control the growth of cancer cells. Warecki is lead author of the study Tao serves as corresponding author. The study was conducted primarily by Tao and Brandt Warecki, who holds a joint postdoctoral position between UH Hilo and University of California, Santa Cruz. ![]() Associate Professor of Biology Li Tao at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo is doing research into the mechanisms of cell division to find clues for cancer treatment, and has published his most recent findings in Science Signaling.
